About The Case
Every challenge has a story. Every solution closes the case.
Case Closed is a multidisciplinary case study competition that brings together students to tackle complex, real-world business and technology challenges. Working in teams of four, participants will analyze information, develop innovative solutions, and present their recommendations to a panel of judges.
Competitors will participate in one of three specialized clusters: Analytics, Engineering, or Business Strategy. Each cluster offers a unique challenge designed to test critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Whether you are interested in data, technology, business, or simply enjoy solving challenging problems, Case Closed provides an opportunity to apply your knowledge, gain hands-on experience, and connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
Hosted in partnership with GDG on Campus Sheridan College and Sheridan Finance Club, Case Closed welcomes students from all post-secondary institutions and programs.

Analytics
Transform data into actionable insights and support data-driven decision making
Participants choosing the Analytics cluster will tackle a telecom company's customer churn problem by identifying the key drivers behind declining retention. They will analyze customer data to segment high-risk users and develop data-driven retention strategies, presenting their methodology and findings to a panel. Participants are expected to explain the business impact of their recommendations and acknowledge the tradeoffs involved in their approach.
